Moo Deng, the charming baby pygmy hippo, has captured hearts across Thailand while also becoming a symbol of hope and support for flood victims and animal welfare. The Zoological Park Organization of Thailand (ZPOT) has announced a collaborative charity initiative that involves 38 agencies, all centered around the delightful Moo Deng.

The initiative aims to raise funds for those affected by recent flooding and enhance the welfare of animals in six zoos under ZPOT’s management. The participating zoos include Khao Kheow Zoo, Chiang Mai Zoo, Nakhon Ratchasima Zoo, Songkhla Zoo, Ubon Ratchathani Zoo, and Khon Kaen Zoo.

Among the many agencies involved, Thailand Post will be issuing special stamps and postcards featuring Moo Deng, while telecommunications company Advanced Info Service (AIS) plans to launch a line of T-shirts and Line stickers inspired by the adorable hippo.
Additionally, Singapore-based game developer Garena will introduce Moo Deng as an exclusive collectible in their popular mobile battle royale game, Free Fire. In collaboration with ZPOT, Garena will offer unique wearables and in-game equipment featuring the lovable hippo. Players will have the chance to acquire these items for free by participating in a variety of engaging in-game activities starting in November.

As part of its commitment to the Moo Deng charity project, Garena will also donate 150,000 baht (approximately RM19,507) to support the cause. Through this collective effort, Moo Deng is not only winning over fans with her playful personality but also making a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need and the welfare of animals across Thailand.
